1. Snagyourhome® is a registered trademark of Pete Cole Consulting.
  2. The Snagyourhome® standard service is what these terms of business refer to.
  3. Snagyourhome® is a visual non-intrusive inspection of quality on a new build or recently completed construction project inside and out.
  4. Snagyourhome® does not provide any certification or sign off to installed building services systems or design i.e. any alarm, mechanical, electrical, carbon monoxide, fire or smoke suppression or control systems or any renewables.
  5. Inspection of inside cavity walls or underground drainage are not included in our Snagyourhome® standard service.
  6. Payment for this service is through our website. Cleared funds secures the booking on the proposed date.
  7. Payment amount will be per product.
  8. The agreed date is the date of any inspection(s).
  9. The service will be carried out on the agreed date and if the inspection cannot be completed on that date a further date of inspection will be agreed to complete the works at no extra cost.
  10. The report will be sent by email not later than 30 days from completion of survey. On some occasions this may take longer.
  11. Full and unfettered access must be available to all areas of the property during the inspection(s). Areas inaccessible may cause limitation to the survey.
  12. Snagyourhome® will not carry out any soil tests or look at ground contamination, radon or other gases, hydrocarbons or VOC’s. No assessment of ground heave is included. No assessment of fracking or oil exploration or any contamination is included.
  13. Snagyourhome® cannot guarantee any checks to fire stopping.
  14. Snagyourhome® standard service does not include building thermography.
  15. Snagyourhome® standard service will only check elements of BS 5534 where access and conditions allow and cannot guarantee any checks for the same will be included in any Snagyourhome® survey.
  16. Roof coverings: all inspections will be carried out from the ground.
  17. Snagyourhome® cannot carry out glass inspection due to varying levels of cleanliness and prior activity.
  18. Snagyourhome® cannot carry out all surface mark, scratches or damage inspection due to varying levels of cleanliness and prior activity.
  19. Snagyourhome® recommends that all new homeowners carry out inspections for surface damages to internal finishes, fixtures and fittings and all glass at the point of handover or completion and any issues are photographed, recorded and reported to the developer or the developer’s representatives.
  20. No guarantee is given as part of the Snagyourhome® standard service or any snagging survey at all chips, scratches or surface damages to internal surfaces will be detected.
  21. Snagyourhome® cannot and will not provide an exhaustive list of visual defects.
  22. Snagyourhome® is not a structural survey.
  23. Pete Cole Consulting accepts no liability for damage to a property or loss or injury to pets.
  24. Pete Cole Consulting will retain data on its clients or properties. It will be stored in a GDPR compliant manner. Signature of these terms is acceptance of opt in. Policy available on website.
  25. If access to the property or site is revoked at any time before the inspection is complete a re-visit fee will be charged.
  26. All refunds for whatever reason carry a 30% handling fee.
  27. Snagyourhome® cannot fully assess floor or wall tiles for poor adhesion or debond or adhesive failure.
  28. A Snagyourhome® report is strictly private and confidential for use by our client. Whilst it may be shown to their professional advisors, the contents are not to be disclosed to or made use of by any other party without our express written consent. Without such consent we cannot accept any liability to any other party.
  29. No assessment of flood risk made ground or any ground condition is included in a Snagyourhome® survey.
  30. A Snagyourhome® survey does not survey to identify Japanese Knotweed, or other invasive plant species.
  31. A Snagyourhome® survey does not fully assess retaining structures or any TAHS approval or associated drainage systems.
  32. No assessment of drafts, airtightness, noises or smells is included in a Snagyourhome® survey.
  33. A Snagyourhome® report is not an Expert Witness report and is not court compliant.
  34. Pete Cole Consulting, Peter Cole or Snagyourhome® is and are not instructed or retained as an Expert Witness as part of the Snagyourhome® standard service or any snagging survey.
  35. Pete Cole Consulting, Peter Cole or Snagyourhome® is and are not instructed or retained to provide advocacy or responses to Builders or Developers as part of the Snagyourhome® standard service or any snagging survey.
